After School Hours: Wednesdays
Bellwork: Everyday in class, every week (3 words)-
Mondays - Write down words and definitions
Tuesdays - Write a sentence for each word (topic provided for sentences)
Wednesdays - Mad Lib (practice parts of speech/need to use three words within the Mad Lib)
Thursdays - Paragraph using all three words (topic provided that day)
Fridays - Quiz on Three words/book or piece of paper containing three words, definitions, parts of speech, three sentences, and paragraph are to be turned in

Tuesday 9/7: Finish going over Cliche'/Figurative Language Sheet and start plot outline sheet
H.W. Read the 1st half of "The Most Dangerous Game" short story. If you have a book or a book on disk please read to page 34 and stop at the end of the page. If you read a copy of the story from the internet/wiki site link read till this quote - "Dear me," said the general, quite unruffled," agian that unpleasant word. But I think I can show you that your scruples are quite ill founded."
When you are done reading (or while you are reading) pick a favorite quote and explain why you chose it. Put it on a seperate piece of paper and turn in tomorrow.
Wednesday 9/8: Go over definitions for metaphor, simile, and personification. Plot worksheet (answers found in book). Notes on plot outline. Collect quote and explanation from night before and discuss last night's reading.

Wednesday 9/8: Discussion of the end of the play.

Friday 9/3: Sign class contract. Questions about grammar - notes on board about how to write a complete sentence, what an adverb is, etc. Please get these notes from another student. Started Cliche' worksheet and filled out a Final Word sheet (both of these will have to be given out in class and are not on the wiki site).

Drama I
Tuesday 8/31: Discuss syllabus/expectations. Inform about the fieldtrip to Weston Playhouse to see "Death of a Salesman" $12 and a bag lunch. Talk about Drama Notebook.
H.W. Have syllabus signed and brought in for tomorrow. Observe somone and write down how you know what they are feeling because of the tone of their voice, facial expressions, and body language.
Wednesday 9/1: Collect expectations signed sheet. Talk about Page to Stage and pass out schedule. Start talking about how Rights and Royalties work.
